Meet At The Market! Downtown Fullerton Farmer’s Market on Thursdays!

One of the things I really love about Fullerton is that they have their very own Farmer’s Market (in fact two).  I look forward to the THURSDAY one every year as it is only from April through October.

Can you believe that yesterday was the first time I have been there this year?  I can’t believe it!

My friends and I all text, call or email about meeting at the market.  We never have a certain time or anything since we all have kids, jobs, etc… but we just hope to catch one another there.

No friends you say?  This is the BEST place to meet them!  Just go the the Market on Wilshire and Harbor on Thursdays between 4:00 and 8:00.

Go to the Beer Garden!  I have made so many new friends here and a lot of people that are new to the area tell me this is where they have gone to meet new people.  It is ok to go by yourself!  You will make friends quickly!

There is more than just beer too!  You can bring your kids to ride the train, eat some yummy baked goods or other good stuff from the food vendors, buy some fresh fruits and veggies and listen to the weekly band.  It is fun for the whole family!

Fullerton Farmer’s Market,Thursdays (April through October), 4:00 to 8:30, Wilshire and Harbor in Downtown Fullerton.

See you there!

A Donation That Doesn’t Cost A Cent But Saves Lives!

NEEDLES!  I can’t think of many things I hate more!  They rank right up there with snakes and spiders!  When I was a little girl, I had to be held down once by four nurses just to get a shot!

Well, not much has changed since I was a little girl.  I may not need to be held down but I like my son to hold my hand when I get poked with that needle to get my blood!

Yes, I am sure that you have guessed by now that I am talking about giving blood!  Times are tough and the economy is down so chances are that your monetary donations might also be.  So, why not give blood?

Giving blood really only takes about an hour and it doesn’t cost a cent!  It can save lives and there is nothing that can replace blood!  We need it!  Not only that but after you give blood, you get your sticker, juice and snacks! :o )

 Did You know?

The minimum age to donate blood was reduced in Jan. 08?

Do you know what the minimum age to donate is? It Is now only 16!  Not only will my son be holding my hand, he will be donating right along with me!

Do you know how many lives one pint of blood will save? I found out that ONE PINT SAVES THREE LIVES!

So, take an hour, get someone to hold your hand and go GIVE SOME BLOOD!  You will feel so glad that you did!
